- One common type of SAP Migration project involve upgrading from an older version of SAP to a newer one. This may include moving from SAP ECC to SAP S/4 HANA, Which is SAP's largest generation of enterprise resource planning software.

Process to Create a Migration Project
- In the SAP S/4 HANA system, you access the SAP S/4 HANA migration cockpit by choosing the 'Migrate Your Data' app in the FIORI Launchpad.
- Choose ‘Create’ and then ‘Migrate data directly from SAP system’. The system displays the new migration project screen creating a project involves three steps. In the first step you specify general data for the project.In the second step you specify the organisational unit that are used to select data from the source system. Finally, in the third step You select the relevant migration objects.
